Home Football Training: Dribbling Game

Here is a dribbling activity for you to try at home!

You can make your area any shape you want, I’ve used a rectangle but you could try anything: circles, triangles, hexagons!

Try to dribble around the shape as quickly as you can but still keeping the ball under control. You could then do time trials, how long does it take to do one lap? Three laps? And then try beat your score.

If you have a willing parent, sibling or pet ask if they could try to chase you around the shape, if you get back to the beginning without being caught then you are the winner!

Try going around the shape in the opposition direction too, this will mean you are dribbling with both feet and changing direction both ways which are essential skills for a footballer!

Lovely weather for some football in the garden if you’re fortunate enough to have access to one.

Enjoy and stay safe!
